Club Runs
All club runs have several groups to accommodate different paces.
There are club runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If you want to join a run to try us out, contact the New Members Team.
Why join
(and how to join)
(and how to join)
There are lots of benefits to joining a running club beyond being able to come to club runs, for example discounts on a lot of races.
Cloud 9 Hill Race
Couch to 5k
Our coaches run a 9-week Couch to 5k programme at least twice a year, sometimes more.
We have an amazing retention rate - 80% of people that complete the programme stay on as club members!
Club Races
We arrange 3 races each year:
- Cloud 9 -> chip-timed 9 mile trail race up to the top of Bosley Cloud - early March
- Passing Clouds -> 9.8 mile fell race taking in Tittesworth and the Roaches - early June
- Congleton Half Marathon -> chip-timed half marathon road event - early October
Club Competition
The club competition runs across the summer half and the winter half of the year. Lots of local races are included across different distances from 5k to half-marathons as well as different disciplines (road, trail & fell).
There are also trophies to be won in other categories, for example outstanding contributions to the club or new club member of the year.
Running Stories
Everyone has a Running Story - what inspired them to get started with running or do that crazy event or why they want to get faster and faster.
Each month a member's Running Story gets featured on the website and social media.
Who's Who
The Committee is elected each year, but there are so many more people involved in making everything happen within the club.
More people are always needed and no matter your skills or interests, there will be something to get stuck into if you are willing.
Club News
There are many ways to keep up with all the happenings in the club.
As a member you can join the Members Only Facebook group and you will have access to the Heja app to book onto runs and social events.
There are also regular Press Reports that summarise what has happened in the club.
